The strawberries will soon be with us as they have flowered now and the fruit are ripening.

A delicate yellow/green fritilaria I found growing in my garden. I have no idea where it came from as I did not plant it. Isn’t it wonderful?

Water has always held a fascination; the way it moves, its regularity, its shape. It allows you to get lost in it at times.

Ducks

These ducks usually come into a friend’s garden at this time of the year. They are looking for food rather than a swim in the rather small pond you can see here.

She had a lot of chicks again, though two are missing from when they were first spotted.

I spent some time late last year getting rid of leaves and using the ash for compost.
